This was my very first time painting plein air in Freeport,TX. I had just set up my easel and started painting when, about ten or fifteen minutes in, a couple arrived and began setting everything up right next to me. Then they got married, right there, in the very spot I was painting.
When their ceremony was over, they came over and asked if they could buy my painting. I was painting the place where they had just said yes. So they took it home with them, still wet, minutes after I finished the last brushstroke.
It was such a special moment, for them and for me. Some paintings find their home before the paint even dries.
