A quiet balance between abstraction and realism, The Portrait I Didn’t Know portrays a woman emerging through expressive layers of color, texture, and movement. Her features feel intimate and recognizable, while the surrounding brushstrokes dissolve into something more emotional and dreamlike.
Originally painted in oil, this artwork explores identity, inner stillness, and the parts of ourselves that cannot always be defined. The warm earthy tones and fluid composition make it a striking yet contemplative addition to a bedroom, studio, reading corner, or creative space.
Months later in my studio, this piece revealed itself as a self-portrait.
This fine art print is produced on high-quality paper to preserve the richness, texture, and depth of the original painting.
Also available as a canvas print.
